Part-Time Library Programming Assistant

Duties: Under general supervision, identifies, develops, coordinates, schedules, promotes, and introduces a wide variety of programs and special events of interest to the community, including book, film, and speaker series for adults and children. In addition, participates in Circulation Desk rotation, as needed, to check materials in and out, provide basic reference assistance, and assist patrons with public computers.

Skills: A high degree of knowledge of program and special event planning, promoting, and implementation is required; previous event planning experience is preferred. Computer skills and the ability to work flexibly as a team member, with the public, and with program presenters is required; graphic design and /or marketing skills are preferred. . 

Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED and at least one (1) year of experience in a customer service or event planning position are required; a college degree and prior library experience either as an employee or volunteer are preferred.

 

Salary Range: $10.17-$15.26 / hour. Anticipated hiring range $10.80/ hour (DOE) for an anticipated 19.5 hours weekly.

Police Chief

Duties: Under administrative direction, plans, organizes and directs the operations and staff of the Police Department; prioritizes and organizes operations to maintain order and enforce laws; responds to major emergencies in a command capacity; and develops and manages the budgets. .

Qualifications: A High school diploma or GED and ten (10) years police experience, including five (5) years in a supervisory capacity; Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Public or Business Administration, or related field preferred or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities of this classification. Must pass appropriate background and criminal history checks, have a State of Arizona Police Officer Certification and a State of Arizona class D driver's license.

Salary Range: $61,192-$91,789; Full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Temporary Part-Time Mine Tour Train Attendant

Duties: Under general supervision, accompanies guided tours of the underground Queen Mine; observes and assists in maintaining the safety of visitors on the tour.

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and one (1) year of experience in customer service position. Preference may be given to those with a basic knowledge of local history. State of Arizona class D driver's license, first aid/ CPR training or ability to obtain such training. Certification from the Department of Corrections to supervise inmate labor or the ability to obtain.

Rate of Pay: Starting at $8.77/ hour. Part time position to wokr an average of 10 hours per week. Successful candidates will be available to work weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and State of Arizona class D driver's license. A basic knowledge of local history and experience in one of the following fields is preferred; underground mining, open pit mining, smelting, milling or geosciences. Experience is a customer service position is helpful.

Rate of Pay: Starting at $10.77/ hour. Part time position -maximum of 19.5 hours per week. Successful candidates will be available to work weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Animal Control Officer, Part-time

Duties: Under general supervision, patrols for stray and loose animals; transports found animals to owners or the shelter and relocates wildlife animals; investigates and enforces City animal ordinances.

 

Qualifications:  Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent and two (2) years animal control experience or equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. State of Arizona class D driver’s license.  Must pass appropriate background and criminal history checks.  Certification from the Department of Corrections to supervise inmate labor or ability to obtain.

 

Salary range: $12.33 - $18.50

 

Anticipated hiring rate: $12.33 – 14.67 (DOE) for an anticipated 19.5 hours weekly.
