Animal Shelter Coordinator, Part-time

Duties: Under general supervision, coordinates the operations of the animal shelter; admits and cares for animals in the shelter; attempts to re-unite animals with their owners or to place them up for adoption; maintains the cleanliness and safety of the facility. Develops animal medical assessment and action plans with local animal care professionals and veterinarians.

Qualifications: Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent and one (1) year of animal welfare experience, a State of Arizona class D driver’s license and must pass appropriate background and criminal history checks.  Higher education in Agriculture and or Animal sciences or related field is highly desirable. 

Salary range: $11.74 - $14.67 

 

Anticipated hiring rate: $14.67 (DOE) for an anticipated 19.5 hours weekly.

Part-Time Library Programming Assistant

Duties: Under general supervision, identifies, develops, coordinates, schedules, promotes, and introduces a wide variety of programs and special events of interest to the community, including book, film, and speaker series for adults and children. In addition, participates in Circulation Desk rotation, as needed, to check materials in and out, provide basic reference assistance, and assist patrons with public computers.

Skills: A high degree of knowledge of program and special event planning, promoting, and implementation is required; previous event planning experience is preferred. Computer skills and the ability to work flexibly as a team member, with the public, and with program presenters is required; graphic design and /or marketing skills are preferred. . 

Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED and at least one (1) year of experience in a customer service or event planning position are required; a college degree and prior library experience either as an employee or volunteer are preferred.

 

Salary Range: $10.17-$15.26 / hour. Anticipated hiring range $10.80/ hour (DOE) for an anticipated 19.5 hours weekly.

Sanitation Driver

Summary: Under general supervision, operates sanitation truck on established route to collect refuse from residential and commercial customers; loads material using mechanized devices and by hand; maintains truck and makes repairs to dumpsters.

Education, Experience, and Certifications: High School diploma or equivalent GED. State of Arizona Class B Commercial Driver's License. Certification from the Department of Corrections to supervise inmate labor or ability to obtain. One year of experience in the operation of refuse collection equipment; or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities. . 

Salary Range: $12.13-$18.19 (DOE), full time position with a comprehensive benefit package to include membership in the Arizona State Retirement System.

Anticipated hiring range: $12.13-$12.73/hour (DOE). .

Police Chief

Duties: Under administrative direction, plans, organizes and directs the operations and staff of the Police Department; prioritizes and organizes operations to maintain order and enforce laws; responds to major emergencies in a command capacity; and develops and manages the budgets. .

Qualifications: A High school diploma or GED and ten (10) years police experience, including five (5) years in a supervisory capacity; Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Public or Business Administration, or related field preferred or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities of this classification. Must pass appropriate background and criminal history checks, have a State of Arizona Police Officer Certification and a State of Arizona class D driver's license.

Salary Range: $61,192-$91,789; Full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package.
