TEMPORARY PART-TIME MINE TOUR TRAIN ATTENDANT

 

Duties: Under general supervision, accompanies guided tours of the underground Queen Mine; observes and assists in maintaining the safety of visitors on the tour.

 

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and one (1) year of experience in customer service position. Preference may be given to those with a basic knowledge of local history. State of Arizona class D driver’s license, first aid / CPR training or ability to obtain such training. Certification from the Department of Corrections to supervise inmate labor or the ability to obtain.

 

Rate of Pay: Starting at $8.77 / hour. Part time position to work an average of 10 hours per week. Successful candidates will be available to work weekdays, weekends and holidays.

WASTEWATER OPERATIONS SUPERINTENDENT

 

Summary: Under limited supervision, plans, schedules and supervises the staff and operations of the wastewater collection system and treatment plants; supervises the maintenance and repair of the fire suppression system; and oversees the backflow protection program.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills: Principles and practices of wastewater collection systems and treatment maintenance and operations, to include SBR, as well as the laws, regulations and codes governing wastewater collection and treatment. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations relating to the operation and maintenance of wastewater collection and treatment. Skill in taking and evaluating tests, diagnosing problems and taking corrective action. Skill in effectively supervising, leading and delegating tasks and authority.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and five (5) years of experience in the operation and maintenance of wastewater collection and treatment systems, including two years of lead or supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. Arizona Wastewater Treatment Grade III license and Wastewater Collection System Grade II license. Backflow certification or ability to obtain within one year of employment. State of Arizona class D driver's license. Preference may be given to individuals with three (3) or more years of continuous service with the City of Bisbee Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Salary Range: $48,999-$73,498 annually.

 

Starting Salary: Dependent on qualifications, plus a comprehensive benefits package including membership in the Arizona State Retirement System.
