Where are the Fire Stations in Bisbee located?

Fire Station #1 is located at 192 Highway 92. Fire Station #2 is located at 644 Tombstone Canyon.

Yes, an ambulance does respond out of each of the Fire Stations.

What are the certification levels within the Fire Department?

The Bisbee Fire Department currently has 11 Paramedic/Firefighters and 10 EMT/Firefighters. All Fire Department personnel are Arizona State Certified Level II Firefighters.

 

Does the Fire Department only provide coverage within the city limits?

The Bisbee Fire Department provides fire coverage for brush fires under an agreement with the Arizona State Land Department, which includes areas outside the city limits. The ambulance coverage includes 400 square miles throughout Cochise County.

 

Does the Fire Department offer CPR classes?

The Bisbee Fire Department offers a Heart Saver CPR Class on the second Saturday of each month. These classes are held at Fire Station #1 at 192 Highway 92. Call 432-4110 for more information.

The Bisbee Fire and Ambulance Department

The Bisbee Fire Department responds to all types of emergency situations. These incidents include fire response within the city limits, wildland fires for the Arizona State Land Department, as well as hazardous material incidents. The Fire Department also provides Advanced Life Support Ambulance Service, which includes 400 square miles throughout Cochise County as well as interfacility transports from hospital to hospital.

The Fire Department is also responsible for enforcement of the Uniform Fire Code and inspection of all businesses and public access areas. The Fire Department is charged with investigating for cause and origin any and all fires when necessary. The Fire Department employs 21 personnel that are trained and certified at different levels to include, Level 1&2 Firefighter, Fire Inspector, Arson investigator, Wildland Firefighter and Fire Instructor. As an EMS provider our personnel are certified as EMT's and Paramedics.

The Fire Departments staff includes 1 Fire Chief, 2 Captain EMT's, 1 Captain Paramedic, 1 Lieutenant Paramedic, 11 Firefighter Paramedics, and 5 Firefighter EMT's.

The Bisbee Fire Department not only responds to emergency situations but also provides other services which include, free blood pressure clinics daily, home courtesy inspections (fire and overall safety), CPR classes twice a month (Health Care Provider and Heartsaver) offered at a nominal fee, continuing fire prevention education to school age children and the entire community, the Fire Explorer program, future immunization clinics in conjunction with Cochise County Health Department and fire extinguisher training for corporations/companys and the general public.
