Board of Adjustments           

Meets at least once a year to conduct annual business and meets as often as necessary to hear variances and appeals.

Purpose:
- The Board of Adjustments shall hear appeals for the interpretation of any word, phrase, district boundary, or section in doubt, or when there is a dispute between the appellant and the enforcing officer.
- An appeal shall stay all proceedings in the matter appealed from, unless the stay would cause peril to life or property; in that case, proceedings shall not be stayed, except by a restraining order granted by the Board or by a court of record. The Board shall fix a reasonable time for hearing appeals and give notice of the hearing to parties of interest and the public.
- The concurring vote of a majority of the Board shall be necessary to reverse any order or decision of an administrative official, or to grant a variance from the terms and conditions of the Zoning Code.
- The Board of Adjustments shall elect a Chair and Vice Chair from among their membership.
